In engineering, innovation usually refers to new ideas, techniques and solutions that lead to the creation of new products such as green technologies which reduce waste and use consumables more efficiently. The benefits of innovation can include greater responsiveness to customer demands, faster turnaround times, reduced waste levels and downtime and improved product design and quality.

LITE is developing a diversitied portfolio of new products such as street waste bins that enable local councils recycle most of the street waste to support the environment and to meet their targets of recycling percentage. Another new product being developed by LITE Technology is a car safety device that help prevent car accidents and saves lives. Other innovative ideas are being developed to reach production stage.
